AdSense testing Italicized Ads

Earlier today I saw Google doing some experimenting with their Adsense ads. I don’t think Italics titles will help get more clicks as it will break your blending with the content text. But on the other hand it might just provide that subtle difference (among multiple similar text links) which might attract a click. Not sure if I like it or not, it’s not as bad as some of the others they’re rotating.

Maybe if the title was bold it would better, these seem hard to read. Anyone else seeing these? What do you think? So maybe they want to test that out.

A DigitalPoint Forum thread where some site owners have observed such italicized ads on their sites.

The Adsense Team recently announced on their blog that they were going to start showing the shopping cart icon next to ads that support Google Checkout. The addition of the Checkout badge makes it easier for people to find sites where they can use Google Checkout’s quick, easy and secure checkout option when making a purchase.
